Southeastern Site Development was contracted to reconstruct the infrastructure of the City Mills Site in Columbus, GA. We constructed parking areas, replaced water infrastructure, and added storm and sanitary sewer utilities.
The redevelopment of the City Mills Site includes the construction of a plaza between the two buildings. There are now seating areas and spaces for event functions. A private, waterfront park was constructed on the riverbank. The existing buildings on site are currently being remodeled as mixed-use occupancies to include a restaurant and hotel, among other businesses.
Southeastern Site Development was also contracted to connect an 800-foot gap in the Riverwalk. Previously, users were required to detour onto the street to walk and bike around the City Mills buildings. Completing this gap now gives Riverwalk users access to a completed path while providing a beautiful view of the river.
